ROOTED: A Confidence & Connection Group for 6th–8th Grade Girls

Middle school can feel overwhelming.

Friend drama. Group chats. Comparison. Social media. Wanting to belong but not knowing how.

ROOTED is a 7-week therapy group designed to help middle school girls build real confidence, manage anxiety, and create authentic friendships in a safe and supportive space.

Through guided conversations, interactive activities, and evidence-based skills, girls will learn how to:

• Manage anxious thoughts
• Build self-confidence
• Navigate friendship challenges
• Set healthy boundaries
• Stop overthinking social situations
• Strengthen emotional regulation
• Feel more secure in who they are

This is not just a “talk about your feelings” group. It’s a place to grow, laugh, connect, and build lasting skills.

Because confidence isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about feeling rooted in who you are.

Sound Lab: A Music-Based Therapy Group for Teens

Sound Lab is a therapist-led, drop-in music therapy group for teens ages 14–18 who are feeling isolated, stressed, or disconnected and are looking for a meaningful way to connect with others. Using music as a creative outlet, teens are invited to express emotions, explore identity, and build confidence in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

The group meets every Tuesday starting February 3rd and runs through the end of the year. Teens may come once, attend weekly, or join whenever they are able. Instruments are provided, and teens are also welcome to bring their own. No musical experience is required, and there is no pressure to perform.

Each session includes opportunities to share music, explore lyrics, jam, and create together. While music is the medium, Sound Lab is about more than just playing together—it’s about learning, growing, healing, and building real social connection with peers who share similar interests and passions.
