“I believe every family has the capacity for healing and positive change when they are given the support, understanding, and tools to nurture growth together.”

Home office with a white desk, a white ergonomic chair, and a computer monitor. There are framed pictures on the wall, a small blue cart with magazines and other items, a bookshelf with books and decorative items, and a large potted plant. The floor is wooden, and there's a door on the right.

I am a doctoral-prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) (ANCC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) (AANP) with a diverse and rich background in mental and physical healthcare. I received my Family Nurse Practitioner master's degree from the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) in 2015, my Doctor of Nursing Practice from UDM in 2020, and my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certificate from the University of Michigan in 2021. With 20 years as a Registered Nurse and 9 years as a Nurse Practitioner, I’ve gained experience that spans child and adolescent psychiatry as well as adult care.

In addition to my work in mental health, I have extensive experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, and primary care. I draw on this well-rounded background to consider each individual holistically, recognizing that physical health, environment, family history, and other factors contribute to the full picture of one’s mental wellness. As a mother of six, I understand the challenges parents face; I empathize deeply, having been on both sides of the fence—as a provider and a parent. I firmly believe every individual and every relationship is capable of growth and change.
